HOW DO YOU DISCIPLINE THE CHILDREN?
I create an environment where there is a chance of less conflicts. With minimum rules, a day home encourages more pro-social behavior and has less need of disciplining. When disciplining is needed, I usually use redirection- diverting the children's attention to something else. I also try to teach them the natural consequences of their actions so in the future they don't engage in those actions.

WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF CHILDREN YOU CAN TAKE CARE OF AT ONCE?
The maximum number of children I can have in my care is 6.

ARE YOU ABLE TO DROP OFF AND PICK UP CHILDREN?
I can do pickups from nearby schools, but not drop offs.

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN THE CHILDREN DON'T NAP?
I let the kids read books, do puzzles, play with legos, draw, etc in a corner away from the sleeping kids.

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE KIDS WHEN THE DAYHOME IS CLOSED?
Children can go to a backup care provider, which the agency can usually aid the parents with.

CAN YOU PROVIDE REFERENCES?
Yes, of course! I do provide references but it will usually the last step in the registration process.
